MBE FOR PRINCIPAL

Mrs Humphreys was awarded the MBE for Services to Education in the Queen's 90th Birthday Honours List in June 2016.

ATS IN SPECIAL NEEDS

Mrs Bogue gained her ATS, having successfully completed Masters Modules in Special Needs (Literacy).

CREDIT TRAINING

Mrs Patterson completed Training in CREDIT (Community Relations, Equality and Diversity) in 2014.

EDUCATIONAL TESTING

Mrs Humphreys completed CCET in Educational Testing (Recognised by the Psychological Service).

EKLAN TRAINING

Mrs McCrory and Mrs Irwin completed EKLAN Training in Speech and Language.

RECOGNITION FOR CONTRIBUTION TO EDUCATION

Mrs Humphreys received two Garden Party invitations in 2012 to the Queen’s Jubilee Garden Party in Buckingham Palace in May and to the Hillsborough Garden Party in September.

RECOGNITION FOR 'OUTSTANDING SCHOOL'

Mrs Humphreys was invited to a reception at Stormont with the Minister of Education in June 2012.

EARLY MANAGEMENT SKILLS

Mrs Neely and Mrs McElwaine undertook an Early Leadership Programme with RTU in 2011.

ADVANCED DIPLOMAS IN SPECIAL NEEDS

Mrs Patterson, Mrs Neely and Mrs Black undertook Postgraduate Advanced Diplomas in Special Needs and Inclusion with Queens University.

GREEN TEACHER OF THE YEAR

Mr Wilson was one of five teachers selected in N Ireland as Green Teacher of the Year 2010.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION IN HEADSHIP

Mrs Patterson graduated with Professional Qualification in Headship (PQH) in January 2009.

CLEANING TEAM AWARD

The school's cleaning team was one of five finalists in Cleaning Team of the Year 2008.
