Ditch the Dark Day

Ditch the Dark Day is held annually. Taking care on dark mornings and evenings is highlighted to the pupils. The Sustrans Officer visited the school today and was delighted to see the pupils in BRIGHT colours. The pupils had ditched their dark uniforms and they wore bright clothes to school.  Many of us travelled to school by foot, scooter or bike.

We had a special assembly with our Sustrans coordinator.  He also gave us lots of information about why active travel to school is so important. He praised the pupils who could speak about reflective strips on our clothing. Our school coats have reflective strips. There were prizes for pupils in each class for putting in great effort to look BRIGHT!
