P4 embarked on some culinary journey by baking carrot biscuits from a WW2 recipe (Fri 18/01/19). They had to peel and grate carrots. Mix them with butter, sugar, flour and vanilla essence and roll them into small balls. Put them on a baking tray and then flatten into biscuit shapes. After a spell of 20 minutes in a medium hot oven, the biscuits were ready to eat. Their taste was described as like shortbread. Delicious!
