P5 travelled to the Enniskillen Museum on 10th March to participate in an Ethnic Drumming Workshop and learn a bit about cultural diversity. First off, Catherine Scott talked to the children about culture and what it means and discuss examples. Next was Gerry Strawbridge, who taught the class about percussion instruments and had a few real good jamming session with them. Clips of these can be found on the children’s Google Drive. Last but not least was Julian Thornton who took P5 to the exhibition upstairs in the museum. This showed people from all different countries and told them about the differences and similarities in our cultures. It was a very enjoyable and educational trip.
