Book Week NI 17th - 23rd October 2022 Get Involved!
The Education Authority are proud to once again be supporting the #bookweekni campaign. This year, there are two key dates for schools. Tuesday 18th October will focus on children’s books with coverage across BBC Radio Ulster and Radio Foyle and on Wednesday 19th October Love your Library day will be celebrated through radio and TV coverage. There are also a number of events during Book Week including a free online event running in partnership with the Open University entitled ‘Reading: A Child’s Superpower’. The event will take place on Tuesday 18th October at 7:30pm, and is suitable for both parents and teachers, or anyone interested in
developing children’s reading skills. In today’s screen focused world powered by videos, why should your child pick up a book and read? Professor Teresa Cremin of The Open University will share her expert knowledge on the benefits of reading in childhood, tips for engaging a reluctant reader and how you can nurture a child’s love for reading. Further information and your free ticket can be obtained by visiting: Reading: A Child’s Superpower.

We also have the travelling Book Fair in school.....
