World Book Day arrived in Moat Primary today with the arrival of all the pupils and staff dressed as their favourite book characters. We were delighted to be joined by family and friends for a lovely breakfast 🤗 After a lovely story read together we joined our classes for lots of different World Book Day activities that had been organised for us.
The biggest surprise was the arrival of a special friend, carrying a suit case, wearing a blue duffle coat, donning a fabulous red hat…all the way from deepest darkest Peru to the Moat Primary today to celebrate World Book Day with us…The one, the only…Paddington Bear…the boys and girls and indeed all the adults were very excited to welcome Paddington Bear! Mr Wilson tried really hard to get to Paddington’s marmalade sandwiches! Such fun!
We have all enjoyed a wonderful book filled day together 🤗
Thank you to the lovely ladies in the kitchen for all their hard work, Tanya from Clayful minds, our teachers for all the effort they put into making our day so special! Big big shout out to Miss Walker who has been working relentlessly behind the scenes, she put together lots of different activities, the wooden spoon creations, the buzzy bee trail, the naming of the caterpillar and the door hangers to name but a few! and she also works really hard in our school library. Thank you Mrs McConkey, we really really enjoyed a wonderful day! It was lovely to join together for a school assembly to enjoy a quiz, sing and see all the different costumes 🤗
