P1 had a fun filled day which started with free play. After break it was time to go on Wednesday’s Wellie Walk down the field. We brought magnifying glasses to look for bugs, hoops for hoola hooping or for them to roll down the hill and bean bags for target practice or to balance on your head. Following that outing, it was time for some serious work; maths and phonics. For maths we did a page from our maths book and for phonics the teacher had set up four different stations: marble letters, iPads BlobbleWrite, phonics books and tracing letters. This was to practise our letter formation. After dinner we did “Big Writing” and last but not least, there was topic work about the life cycle of a frog with the help of a book called “The Teeny Weeny Tadpole”.
