P1 will have a special visitor every Monday . P1 met Mandy from China today. She will be teaching us Mandarin. We learned how to say ‘ hello’ and ‘ teacher’ in Mandarin.
We had another special visitor in class today over a teams video call. Laura from the Ulster Museum spoke to us about farms and homes years ago . A special box was delivered with lots of items in it. We had to guess what each item was used for. We got to handle an old iron, a toasting fork, a sieve for buttermilk and an old jar. We learned how butter and soda bread were made.
