Surprise...we are delighted to announce the arrival of our very first butterfly 🦋. There was a lot of excitement in the playground before class started, as some of our classmates check on the caterpillars 🐛 every morning. They spread the news of our wonderful arrival.
During our play through learning, the boys and girls gathered lovely leaves, flowers, grass and pieces of oranges and apples to feed our butterfly. The boys and girls all know that butterflies need nectar to grow and become strong. 💪 They get their food from flowers 💐 and fruit. If needed we can make up our own nectar by mixing sugar and water.
We wonder how many butterflies we will have next week?
