P2 Happy Friday 😊
Today in P2 we had a lovely visitor, Mrs Furniss to tell us all about her role as a Paramedic. We have covered the topic Day and Night and in our learning through play, we have had a hospital role play corner. It was really interesting for us to see her uniform. She showed us her radio and we could hear other calls from her colleagues. She was able to put some of the children on a heart monitor. We could all see her pulse. Mrs Furniss showed us how to use a stethoscope and we were able to listen to our own heart beats. We even got to try on a very shiny silver blanket that keeps you warm.
As a super treat we were able to go out to her Ambulance quick response car. We noted how Ambulance was written backwards on the front of her car, that is because the car in front can read it in their rear view mirror. She showed us all the different equipment she uses in the back of the car. We got to sit in the car, put on the blue flashing lights and even the very loud siren.
Thank you Mrs Furniss. We really enjoyed your visit to our class 🤗
