P2/3 Daily Mile

14th Oct 2024

Our class have been enjoying our Daily Mile walk each morning. Our teachers have asked us to look out for signs of autumn 🍂 we have spotted the changing of the leaves 🍁, the colder mornings and of course CONKERS! Miss Garland, along with Mrs Ebbitt and Miss Fyfe spotted a very special visitor to our sports pitch…a crane! Wow! It was huge…the biggest bird some of us had ever seen! Miss Garland also showed us a Conker still enclosed in its case and explained how when the Conkers fall from their tree the case usually splits and the seed (Conker) falls out and can grow into a tree. We also looked at the sycamore tree and we had lots of fun looking at the seeds from it, when we picked up their seeds and let them fall they were just like helicopters 🚁 which helped the seeds fall far from their tree. Our Daily Mile is lots of fun and we get to share lots of fun facts 🤗
