P2/3 were greeted by Mr Glenn this week, who had brought with him all the onion family. We got to touch, smell and taste different varieties of onions, shallots, white onions 🧅, red onions, spring onions and garlic. We then entered the poly tunnel to plant some tulips 🌷 for the spring, we watered and checked up on our planting from a number of weeks ago. We really enjoy our visits to the poly tunnel and to hear lots of different facts from Mr Glenn. Thank you!
It was also Ditch the Dark day. We dressed up in brightly coloured clothes. We talked about the days getting shorter and the nights getting longer. It is important to be bright to be seen in the darker mornings and evenings. The clocks go back one hour on Sunday night. It will soon be winter !!! 🥶❄️⛄️❄️🥶
