P3 Outdoor Learning.

7th Dec 2022

P3 had a great afternoon outside with Tony.
We were all wrapped up warm and ready to go on a hunt for invertebrates. We were amazed how many we found on such a cold day!

We started off by playing a game about foxes, minks and otters - we learned how animals have adapted for hunting.

We recorded our findings on tally charts, unbelievable the amount of invertebrates that are hiding in our school grounds.

We found springtails, woodlouse, snails, slugs, millipedes, centipedes, spiders, worms and lots more. Unfortunately we also found more of the invasive species of New Zealand flatworms.
We had lots of fun out hunting.
