Our last session with Tony was a very exciting one as we we learnt how to start fires using flint and steel. We were each given a piece of flint and a metal scraper which we had to rub together at speed to create a spark. We then used the spark to try and catch onto a piece of cotton wool to use as our starter. We really enjoyed it and we soon realised it was harder than it looked. There were even trophies given out to the best fire starters.
