In March this year, during lockdown, Charlotte and Harry in P6 decided to enter the Aware NI ‘Express Yourself’ poetry competition. This wasn’t an ordinary competition, this one focused on children’s mental health and was solely for P6 and P7 pupils. The competition was to allow pupils to express their thoughts and feelings about the past year through creative writing. Charlotte made it into the top 10 and her poem will be published in a special book, a copy of which will be sent to her and the Moat Primary School. Well done, Charlotte and well done Harry!
