P7 Day 2 Gortatole (up to about 3pm).
After a relatively “quiet night, the P7’s were more than ready for another action-packed day at Gortatole. Group A went to do climbing and archery with John, whilst Group B drove out towards Boho to go caving with Mark. Gortatole boasts an enormous climbing wall and the children loved it! John made it lots of fun and his clear instructions kept everyone safe. Archery was next and again John’s instructions meant that everyone had a good time and managed to hit the targets. Then it was time for lunch, which consisted of some lovely pizza 🍕. After lunch Group A had to get changed for a spot of canoeing, whilst Group B took their turn on the climbing wall and shooting with a bow and arrow 🏹. Jackie took Group A to canoe on Lower Lough MacNean, which was just a short walk away. First the group had to turn the canoes into a raft, which was no bother to them. Then they were out on the lake, paddling away. On the way back the sail came, so that paddling was no longer required. After a few games on the raft, it was time to go for the floating jetty and do some cannonballs into the water. Brilliant fun 🤩. Then it was time for Mrs Moore to return and for Miss Neely to take over.
