We carried out a scientific investigation to find out if the person with the longest femur had the longest jump. First we decided what we were going to keep the same to make the experiment fair. The children decided that everyone had to be in their PE kit, everyone had to jump in the same way and in the same place. The only thing that would change was the femur length. The children predicted that the person with the longest femur would have the longest jump. We then got into groups and measured our femurs. Next we went outside and measured our jumps. When we got back to class we looked at our results and discovered that the person with the longest femur did not have the longest jump.
